The warfare qualification insignia shown at the top of each page were earned by Lt. Commander Rancich in the course of his U.S. Navy service. From left to right:

• Naval Special Warfare SEAL qualification(1130), aka "Trident" (or "Budweiser")
• Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) qualification
• Diving (Officer) qualification
• Air Force HALO (high-altitude, low-opening parachute) qualification
• Naval Surface Warfare Badge (Line Officer-1110) qualification
• Naval Surface Warfare Badge (Special Ops-1140) qualification
